# Contributors

A contributor is any user who has access to an application. Contributors are tagged with access tags which provide access to [screens](/technical/screens) or the [dimensional elements](/technical/creating-dimension-manually) of the model.

Both Modellers and Collaborators within a client need to be added to an Application as a **contributor** before they can reach it.

### Adding a new contributor

Select **New Contributor** at the top right of the list.

| Field | Purpose |
| :--- | :--- |
| **Contributor** | The user being given access to the application. |
| **Access Tags** | **Required.** The [access tags](/technical/access-tags-and-application-security) they hold, which decide the [screens](/technical/screens) and [dimension elements](/technical/creating-dimension-manually) they can reach. |

**Add** commits the change. At least one Access Tag is required - a contributor cannot be added without one.
