# Suppress Empty Elements (Except One)

**Workview-only.** Behaves like [Suppress Zeros](/set-instructions/suppress-zeros) when suppression is enabled at the Workview level, except it always leaves at least one element visible even if every element in the set is empty - avoiding a Workview axis that renders as completely blank, which can be jarring for end users.

#### Example

3. Remove Consolidations
4. Suppress Empty Elements (Except One)

If every product happens to have zero data in the current context (an unpopulated period, for example), this still shows one row rather than an empty grid - a visual cue that the set is working, just with no data yet, instead of looking broken.
