# Remove Consolidations

Removes every element in the working list that has children, leaving only leaf-level elements behind. The most common companion to [Expand All](/set-instructions/expand-all), for building a flat list without the intermediate roll-up rows.

#### Example

```
1. Element: All Products
2. Expand All
3. Remove Consolidations
```

Expands `All Products` down through every brand and product, then strips out `All Products` and every brand-level parent, leaving just the individual products. See [Common Patterns](/set-instructions/common-patterns#pattern-2-descendants-only-total-at-the-bottom) for the full pattern.

::: tip Order matters
This has to come *after* [Expand All](/set-instructions/expand-all). Running it first removes the only element in the working list (since at that point it's still a parent), leaving nothing for `Expand All` to work with.
